With over 28 years experience, Thurston Security takes a comprehensive approach to protecting clients by evaluating and supplying insights necessary to assist in decisions in effective security measures.
Mr. David K. Thurston, a twenty-eight year security services veteran, founded Thurston’s Security in 2008. Prior to establishing Thurston Security, Mr. Thurston has worked along with high profile conventions, private and special events, non-profit organizations, and corporate and governmental affairs. He was previously employed with Bahamas Faith Ministries International (BFMI) for over 13 years as a Grade One Officer with qualifications for a Grade Two Officer. During his tenure, he supervised over twenty full-time, part-time and contractual Security Officers, particularly with event protocol for many conferences with local and international high profile guests both in-house and at other venues. He also successfully contributed to a consistent projected annual profit of approximately $1 million with no reported loss or theft. Earlier in his career, Mr. Thurston also worked at the Bahamas Ministry of Education, at the University of West Indies and Mable Walker for 15 years.
